The value in preparing for restoration..
One of the ancient stories that is spoken in many cultures is the restoration of food supply after a major locust infestation (approx 845 BC)
As most of us know, the locust infestation ruins the current years harvest, thereby impacting the seed supply for the next year. The infestation also impacts trees and vines (long term investments) that take years to restore. All these result in a perpetual famine cycle that requires an external force to help with a re-bound.
In this story, it was the divine hand of God established the restoration which enabled the nation to get back on its feet.
This story has a great reference to our modern personal and work lives. Sometimes we might have experienced set backs that are created by circumstances beyond us.
We might have seen organisations experience set backs caused by various circumstances they have no control over.
Either way, restoration could be one step away. This would mean:
💜Green pastures that are ready to embrace the transformation.
💜Trees and vines (long term investments) yielding their full yield
💜Spring and summer rains (regular business/ funding) will be available at the right time
All these enable plentiful to eat and to share. We might break the barriers needed and have a sustainable outcome. These may be possible through that special something that will propel us to the next stage.
The special something may be attributed to divine intervention or to something simple and well known. Whatever be it, we pray that we find what we are looking for and deliver the outcomes needed
ancient wisdom has a lot to offer, as we reflect, let’s take a moment and plan for restoration which would enable to make the world a better place

God will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten;
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied.(Joel 2:25-26)
